Injection Pathway

A complete treatment pathway combining GP-led assessment and injection therapy with an integrated programme of rehabilitation, followed by a clinical review.

Your medical assessment and injection therapy will be provided by Dr Jasprit K Bhamrah MBBS BSc (Hons) MRCGP MRCS, Medical Director of Optimal Health Doctor Ltd.

Conditions we can help with

  • Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)

  • Rotator cuff-related shoulder pain / subacromial bursitis

  • Knee osteoarthritis

  • Tennis Elbow

  • Trigger finger / trigger thumb

  • De Quervain’s tenosynovitis

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

Not every condition requires an injection. Dr Bhamrah will assess your symptoms and determine whether injection therapy is appropriate for you before discussing your treatment options.

Where injection therapy is appropriate, your treatment is integrated directly with physiotherapy rehabilitation.

Following your injection, our physiotherapy team will guide you through a structured rehabilitation programme tailored to your condition, recovery and individual goals.

Rather than treating the injection as a standalone intervention, we combine it with rehabilitation designed to restore movement, rebuild strength and function, and support a safe return to work, exercise, sport and normal daily activity.

A follow-up review is included to assess your progress, review your response to treatment and discuss the next steps in your care.

This integrated approach means your medical treatment and physiotherapy rehabilitation work together as one complete pathway, from initial assessment and injection through to rehabilitation and return to activity.
